Serves: about 4
Time: 25 minutes prep, 13 minutes baking time
1/2 tub of Because Cookie Dough Vanilla Chai Cookie Dough (or any other flavor)
2 cooked Beets - try to find some that have more purple than brown/red color.
1/3 cup Applesauce
2 tbs Peanut Butter
Slivered Almonds - 10 pieces
1 cup Dandies Mini Marshmallows
🎃 Preheat oven to 350 F and bake some Vanilla Chai Cookie Dough into about 3-4 inch, thin cookies. Bake about 13 minutes, until the edges are crispy
🎃 While they are baking, puree 2 beets with 1/3 cup applesauce. For every 1/2 cup beet/Apple puree mix in 2 tbs of peanut butter. This will thicken it and hide the beet flavor. I love @wild_friends nut butters because they are palm oil free!
🎃 When the cookies have cooled, cut them in half. Spread a thin layer of the beet/pb puree on the bottom of both cookie halves. Then line the outside of one half with @mydandies mini marshmallows. Put some in the back too to keep the whole top cookie supported. Then place two slivered almonds on the bottom cookie for fangs. Place the other half cookie on top and you've got a spooky treat!
