Our story

I created Because Cookie Dough while studying to become a registered dietitian.  My absolute favorite dessert has always been freshly baked cookies, but as a working nutrition student, making my "healthy" cookies was often time consuming and costly. Unsatisfied with the ready-to-bake products on the market, I set out on a journey to make my own nutrient-rich cookie dough that could provide nutritional benefits in addition to satisfying my sweet tooth. 

Because Cookie Dough is always gluten-free, vegan, soy free, and sweetened with just dates and coconut sugar!  Coconut sugar and dates add fiber and minerals to the product and are both unrefined with lower glycemic index values than traditional and refined sweeteners. The Because Cookie Dough gluten-free flour mix is also whole grain which makes our products a great midday snack in addition to tasty late night treats.

Free from the bad stuff, Because Cookie Dough is also loaded with wholesome ingredients made to nourish your body and satisfy your sweet tooth.

What's different about Because Cookie Dough? All our products are made with ingredients that are actually beneficial to your health and body. Our flours are whole grain as well as gluten-free and we sweeten our products with just dates and organic coconut sugar. Our products are also vegan and all our ingredients are non-GMO so you can bake some cookies and feel good about what you're feeding yourself and your family.

 

Our Brownie Batter
